There is nothing quite like full suspension two seat Go-Karts! Come to a summer camp and we will set up for this ultimate adventure.
While mountain boards may be a new term for some, not to worry! It is basically a skateboard on steroids. Or maybe a snow board with heavy duty tires. During our summer camps, RockyVine equips the campers with necessary pads and helmet to protect you if you happen to take a fall.
Visit the Bike and Board Shop to use our quality mountain bikes. Take these out for a spin to find ultimate adventure on the trails. Grab a bike and helmet (of course!) and join a skilled guide for a scenic ride through the woods.
In 2004, RockyVine built the dam for the lake and it naturally filled in two weeks. While the intent of the lake is not for swimming, it has become a great area for taking walks and for observing the wildlife. Recently, the lake has been stocked with plenty of fish. Catch the biggest fish during camp and win a prize and prestige in our Summer Fishing Challenge. We also have kayaking available during our camp stays.
We have a variety of trails, which run throughout the entire camp. Whether you are up for a morning hike or a cross country run, you will enjoy the views and terrain of the Missouri river bluffs. Explore the waterfalls, natural springs, cedar forests, and lush green fields where some have seen deer, wild turkey, owls, beavers, ducks, hawks, song birds, and if you are lucky, you might get a glimpse of an eagle or a bobcat.
RockyVine offers an 18 hole Signature Frisbee Golf course complete with one water and one sand hazard. Tee #1 is located between the Welcome House and the Voelkerding Cottage.
The gym was constructed in 1997. Like all of our building at RockyVine, the gym has heat and air conditioning. There is a game room attached. This facility even has two separate locker room facilities with bathrooms and three showers in each. The gym offers ample recreational supplies, from Volleyball to Basketball, from indoor soccer to hockey, glow-in-the-dark dodge-ball or what ever you decide to play, you will enjoy having the use of this large space.
